It’s Time to SLEIGH the Season! 🛷✨

The holidays should feel warm and bright. But for many in Hamilton, this time of year can feel heavy. Parents are working hard to keep up. Families are doing their best to hold onto traditions. Kids are still dreaming big, even when the adults around them are unsure how to make any of it happen. And for many 2SLGBTQIA+ folks, the holidays can bring up loneliness, complicated family memories, or that familiar feeling of being on the outside looking in.

So this year, we’re turning up the joy and making sure no one feels left out of the magic.

Pride Hamilton, Hamilton Child and Family Supports, and Det. Con. Lyndsay Scott of Hamilton Police Services are teaming up to bring a festive Holiday Drag Brunch event to the city on Sunday December 7 2025 at Hamilton Stadium from 12noon-3pm. Expect sparkle, sass, and that unmistakable chosen-family warmth. This event isn’t just about fabulous performances. It’s about connection, dignity, and lifting each other up.

And we’d love for you to help us spread that joy.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR EARLY BIRD PRICING! Until December 3 2025, brunch tickets start at $40/person for Adults (kids 13yo & under are free); with special holi-gay savings in place for groups of 4, 6 or 8 people - - and after December 4, prices climb so grab your tickets today before they sell out!

Help Change the Season for Someone

When you buy your ticket, you’re invited to bring an unwrapped toy or gift for a child or youth, or to make a monetary donation to Hamilton Child and Family Supports. Even one gift can ease the pressure on a caregiver and make a young person feel seen and celebrated.

You can place your donations under the community tree at the event. Local businesses and community groups are welcome to pitch in as well. Any untouched food from the event will be shared with a local shelter, because everyone deserves a full plate and a little holiday comfort.

This is community care in action. A bit heartfelt, a bit joyful, and just queer enough to add extra sparkle. ✨

About Hamilton Child and Family Supports

Hamilton Child and Family Supports (HCFS), formerly the Children’s Aid Society of Hamilton, is a nonprofit committed to supporting the safety, dignity, and well-being of children, youth, and families. They work with more than 350 families navigating challenges like poverty, unemployment, intimate partner violence, and mental health barriers. Their approach is rooted in equity, diversity, and respect for every family’s story.

This holiday season, HCFS is collecting unwrapped toys like puzzles, dolls, books, board games, art supplies, educational games, and hygiene kits. They also welcome donations to their Grateful Hearts program, which provides Walmart gift cards so parents and caregivers can choose gifts that reflect their family’s own traditions and culture. It’s all about choice, dignity, and creating meaningful memories.
