New Year, New Sleigh… A Change in Our Upcoming Drag Brunch Event
Earlier today, we reached out to folks who had purchased tickets to our "Time to SLEIGH" Christmas Drag Brunch event, that was scheduled for this coming Sunday December 7 2025, with an update on the event.
As we got closer to the event, we heard from so many folks within the community that December has turned into a full glitter tornado of parties, school concerts, office gatherings, and family plans. With so much happening across the city, we weren't on track to reach the attendance needed to bring this event to life in the big, joyful way we envisioned.
So instead of squeezing more into an already-packed season, we're giving Santa and his elves a break and doing something better!
We made the difficult decision to move the celebration to late January (Saturday January 31 2026 @ 12pm) for a festive New Year, New Sleigh Brunch to start 2026 with joy, sparkle, and plenty of room for everyone to join the fun! We're excited about this shift, and we hope our community is, too!
Those who had tickets to this weekend’s event had their current tickets automatically rolled over to the new event date; and as a special thank you for their patience, support, and commitment to showing up for community, those ticket holders will receive a special gift from Pride Hamilton at our new event in January!
Alternatively, folks could elect to donate the value of their ticket(s) to Pride Hamilton as part of their Giving Tuesday support. In doing so, those folks will directly help us continue our year-round community programming and advocacy work here in Hamilton.
Of course, Pride Hamilton is also offering ticket price refunds, should neither of these options work for folks at this time.
